Al-Akhir suffered a dramatic loss at AIA
After the three game loosing streak, chairman Nathan Woods decided to add new faces to the team; Mohammed Al-Watban, Dwight, and Philip. However, the team suffered a 6-3 loss at the weekend against one of the bottom teams in the division. Al-Akhir started the game with classical starting eleven; Julio, Christian, Dimitri, Adam, Kevin, Berk, Hany, Lance, Paul, Kerry, Jake. The game was played in the midfield during the first 20 minutes. At 25th minute Jake scored the opening goal. The other team scored a goal from free kick. First half ended 1-1. Al-Akhir started the second half very ambitious. New transfers Watban and Dwight seemed very effective. Dwight scored a very lucky goal on his debut. He was trying to cross the ball and one of the defenders headed the ball on his own goal. Five minutes after Dwight's goal Hany took a shot behind the 18 yard box. The goalkeeper pushed it out to corner. Hany and Paul passed the ball to each other and Hany took another shot around 18 yard box. This time the goalkeeper pushed the ball inside the goal. After that the other team scored five goals in less than 15 minutes and the game ended 6-3. Al-Akhir is very close to the relegation zone after this defeat. The committe is planning on meeting before the next game in order to take necessary actions.
